While the heat is on in many cities and places - here at Weissensee you may enjoy the pleasant coolness. Even hot days cool off over night and let you breath freely and deeply. During the day both the cool water of the lake and the rich air in the forests offer you a perfect retreat.
Swimming
Go swimming instead of showering! Start the day with a dip in the lake first thing in the morning! There's simply nothing better!
Beach café am Weissensee
Enjoy one of our cocktails, refreshments and vegetarian delicacies in our beach café ("Strandcafé") with a panoramic view over Lake Weissensee! And to top it all off, a coffee speciality from Brigantes!
Naggleralm
Take the mountain railway up to the Naggleralm in comfort!
The mountain railway is included free of charge for our hotel guests in the low season with the Weissensee Premium Erlebniscard. There is a whole range of hiking trails to discover from the Naggleralm. The way down on foot opens up wonderful views of Lake Weissensee.Mountainbiking
Take a mountain bike - which you can borrow from us at reception - and explore the mountainbike trail in Naggl!
If you want to take it easier, you can also borrow an e-bike from our partner Intersport.
Boat trip over the lake
Take a boat across the lake to the eastern shore.
The MS Alpenperle, the MS Austria, the MS Weissensee and the MS Kärnten make their rounds on Lake Weissensee and call at many interesting stops. This means that every hiking excursion can be ideally combined with a boat trip. Our guests travel free of charge with the Weissensee Premium Adventure Card!
Hiking tour over the Rauna
Hiking over the Rauna - the best way to do this is in silence on one of our silent meditation hikes. From the valley station through the forest over the Rauna to Obernaggl.
Church of Hope
Visit the Church of Hope - "Hoffnungskirche" - the most beautiful open-air church built by the Lord himself and the Liendl, Hans Zöhrer. The most beautiful stop on the way over the Rauna.
Liendl wrote so beautifully that he wanted to show the "resurrected Jesus". "Who brings grace from heaven with his left hand and gives people hope with his right."
Alm hinterm Brunn
Enjoying "Schwarzbeernudeln" (literal translation - "blackberry pasta") at "Alm hinterm Brunn".
It has just been completely renovated and offers a marvellous view of the Dolomites. And the path up to the alpine pasture also rewards hikers with wonderful views over Lake Weissensee.
Ronacherfelsen
Hike down from the mountain pasture to the Ronacherfelsen for an aperitif on the terrace. Return to the Strandhotel by boat or on foot along the lake on a wonderful flat path.

Glide across Lake Weissensee on our hotel's own raft!
